LOGO & BRANDING
A Houston Texas attorney came to my company looking for a total rebrand for her firm. Her goal was to expand from providing estate and probate law to one day having a general practice firm. She wanted a complete name and branding overhaul as well as a custom site that aligned with her expansion goals. As the head of graphic design, my task was to lead the path to her firm's new brand identity. After extensive consulting with the client, we had a good idea of her tastes and visual goals for this project. She was adamant about updating her old branding to something semi-feminine, clean, and modern. We developed the name and logo more or less simultaneously, as the client couldn’t decide between “Horizon Law” and “Heirloom Legal.” I crafted options for both names, displaying the strengths and weaknesses of each name. The client ultimately decided on Heirloom Legal, a nod to her estate and probate beginnings with room for growth in the future. The name evoked the company’s long rich history and would help establish its authority in the minds of potential clients. After more communication with the client and some minor tweaks, we decided on the logo you see here. The final product ended up being the perfect fit for our client’s personality and business goals.
WEBSITE DESIGN
To complete her brand overhaul, I was tasked with drafting and building a new site to match her new brand identity and replace her old two paged site. This process involved further expanding pages and content sections to provide more SEO opportunities. On this project, I was able to test out a new design drafting system I had put in place at my agency. My streamlined system resulted in a much earlier launch date than anticipated. By developing a framework for the site prior to starting the design process, we were able to minimize time wasted experimenting in the design phase. The rebrand is officially live at www.heirloomlegatx.com The client was beyond satisfied with her new branding and hardly had any notes for me after reviewing the functional site prototype. Since launch the client has recieved an uptick in leads and calls.
